Is there really an alternative to quarantine ?

There is a legal alternative that will reduce or remove the need to place your pets into a quarantine facility.

France is officially recognised as rabies free and as such entry requirements to a quarantine state may be significantly reduced or removed as a consequence, for pets entering these countries.

By qualifying your pet as a French resident and completing the required protocol for entry to say, the UK by completing a full PETS passport in France your pet can avoid any requirement for quarantine entry to the UK or Ireland.

Sounds simple? Well Yes and No the regulations are very specific and at times can be hard to follow but we qualify pets for entry to all the above countries and others on a regular basis. It is possible and it means that pets can qualify without in many cases ever having set foot in any quarantine facility.

You can arrange to complete entry whilst remaining with your pet yourself in France, we are happy to provide assistance with completing all the required steps including liaison with local vets particularly if your French is a little rusty. Or we can arrange for home care or kennel stays according to you and your pets requirements in all cases your pets are free of any quarantine restrictions and can live life to the max.

Home board long term care as a full member of the household living in a family home alleviates many of the worries and stresses of a quarantine environment.

Long term kennelling without the restrictions required under quarantine conditions pets can be exercised properly, continue to socialise with other dogs and people in a more familiar environment. Owners are also free to visit and stay away with their pets rather than being restricted to sharing a quarantine kennel..
